i don't get it.
what's not to get? it's a short message from the mars rover. not only is it a robot, it's millions of miles away, yet it's still sending snarky updates on twitter. its other messages are great too:

what's not to get? well, exactly those things you mentioned for starters. i agree now that it's awesome, but also very eerie.
what i like about it is that that thing must have cost several million $ to build, and probably the only way i would ever find out about it is through its twitter updates.
